We cruised all night and most of the morning from Amsterdam to Cologne. The boat was going about 8 mph and was so quiet and relaxing. We arrived in Cologne around 1pm and did a tour around town and finished with the cathedral, which they started building in 1248 and took 632 years to complete. The significance of the cathedral is that it is where the remains of the 3 Magi/Kings who went to see Christ in the Manger are. We finished our time walking the rail bridge admiring all of the “love locks” placed by those in love! We were also told that German towns are very proud of their flowers, every year there is a contest between the towns for who has the best flowers…

Outstanding update. Takes me back a few months…but I’m sure the weather is fantastic.
