The Mediterranean – Barcelona!

Our day in Barcelona started off rainy and stayed cloudy but cool all day!   The Murphy’s were the only ones that had not been to Barcelona so we decided to do the hop on hop off bus so they could get a good feel for the city.  We started off at Sagrada de Familia Goudi’s famous church.  And then hopped back on the bus to head to the famous market.  Since Phil and I were just in Barcelona in April and my knee was acting up we headed back to the boat to rest.  The Goads and Murphy’s did it up big at the market and found some parades that were going on in town due to the celebration of Festes de Merce, the patron saint of Barcelona.  They walked a ton and enjoyed the city.  After a little ice and elevation Phil and I headed back out and rode the gondola that spans from the mountain up by the Olympic stadium down over the harbor.  It provided some amazing views!  After all this activity we met back up with our travel crew had an amazing meal of Paella with the rest of our yacht mates!   Back to the boat after a long day and we watched the Atlas Crew talent show and these kids were great.   A full day and we are off to Mahon!  Only 2 days left on the boat.
