We cruised from yesterday until today arriving in Regensberg around 1:30. Phil woke up early and took some amazing pictures of the countryside while I slept in until 9am!!! Our excursion today was to the Weltenberg Abbey which has been here and making beer since 1050. There are 7 Benedictine monks still active at the abbey today and personally make 2 of the 12 beers that has their name on it. After touring the Baroque style church which was built in 1753 we then took a boat tour called a “Schiffahrt” (yes that is the name…ha ha ha) through the Danube Gorge where our cruise ship could not go. We are now back on board and cruising again! This pace of life is something we could get used to!

Monks making beer? Interesting! Beautiful pictures! Enjoy!!
